Justin Leiber
Justin Leiber, né le 8 juillet 1938 et décédé le 22 mars 2016, est le fils de Fritz Leiber.
Universitaire (il était Professeur
de Philosophie à l'Université de Houston), il a également écrit plusieurs romans relevant
de la science-fiction et de la fantasy :
- 1980 : Beyond Rejection (Beyond - 1) (traduit en France sous le titre La deuxième vie d'Ismael Forth, parution : OPTA, Galaxie-Bis n°139, 1986).
- 1984 : The Sword and the Eye (House of Eigin - 1)
- 1985 : The Sword and the Tower (House of Eigin - 2)
- 1987 : Beyond Humanity (Beyond - 2)
- 1988 : Beyond Gravity (Beyond - 3)
Dans son domaine de prédilection (la philosophie), il a en outre écrit de très nombreux essais et articles.
Vivian Leiber
Vivian Leiber est l'un des noms de plume d'Arlynn Leiber Presser, la fille de Justin Leiber
et donc petite-fille de Fritz Leiber.
Comme elle se décrit elle-même, "Vivian Leiber is a retired waitress, telemarketer, lawyer,
librarian, janitor and realtor--in her own words she "failed at everything" until she
tried writing a romance that she would love to read. Eighteen books later, she's still
writing sassy yet sentimental, sometimes screwball, sometimes suspenseful books. She
lives with her husband and two sons in a small townwith a big heart. She volunteers her
time teaching others to write and she also coaches boys' soccer."
