Décerné depuis 1992 à la meilleure œuvre féministe dans le domaine de la science-fiction et de la fantasy, cofondé par Pat Murphy et Karen Joy Fowler.

Ce prix fut jusqu'en 2019 intiutlé "James Tiptree Jr. Memorial Award". Mais, suite à une controverse née du fait qu'Alice B. Sheldon (le vrai nom de Tiptree) avait tué son mari handicapé avant de se suicider, le prix est rebaptisé Otherwise Award le 13 octobre 2019.
